The prop tools for the AS.1/4 & T.2/5 will not fit the AEW.3 sadly, we have the earlier tools and been offered others – which is always the way!
For example, the tool upper right we have one that looks identical and fits perfectly, except the edge is splined and not threaded!
There are other avenues which we will pursue. They are complex and pretty well difficult to bodge up (for want of a better word!)
The engine removal C spanner I’m guessing will cover all types, hopefully this will be sitting around in someones kit, RR Heritage have been contacted as well.
Worse comes to the worse a new tool could probably be made, however it is rated at 240 ft Ibs.
I bet being shut in the RS.4 nose section, lying down head first, gave rise to some interesting moments on take off and landing!

I would appreciate that Tim, I’ve seen tech details of the Meteor, but not the RS.4.

Lovely little aeroplane (not as much as the Tintin-esque RS.1 Snargasher though!), the RS.3 Desford was converted to become a prone pilot trials aircraft as the RS.4 Bobsleigh.
Has anyone here ever seen details of the prone pilot layout of the aircraft?

I would go Reid & Sigrist Desford RS.4 ‘Bobsleigh’.

Thankfully the exhaust pipe layout was first introduced during the white’ period. Wouldn’t fancy constantly chasing those stubs!

Great updates and news, nice to see Blue going red(!) through work!
I can’t believe the stuff you are finding for the project, such as the turrets, I take it ‘963 is now firmly on the MR.2 (pre mod) route?

I wouldn’t have thought the componants would take up that much room, say up against a wall in the prototypes/development hangar, maybe with the missing parts ‘ghosted’ on the wall.
The P.1121 represents a very rare opportunity to display an unflown development airframe.
