I mentioned it on his FB post. He still hasn’t figured it out. Oddly enough for a guy who claims to be putting this plan together he doesn’t appear to be a member of any of the warbird groups or forums… So not only can’t he figure out how to view msgs, he also doesn’t know where to find people with the experience he wants… unless he’s purposely trying to avoid people in the industry… He’s not even a member of the Australian Warbird News group

A few people said they msg’d him, but he hasn’t seen the msgs. I think he’s only seeing FB msgs from people on his friends list.

No-one is hurt, just surprised at the responses and the seeming lack of the ability to understand a simple request…for those interested to message me for more information. I had people asking me to message them and others asking for details on an open Facebook post…I did not get a single message even though some have said they did message me. Maybe that is a Facebook issue as this is not the first time a message has never been received, or been received much too late. Had I got messages, I definitely would have responded.

The Aussie (Bob Maddern) has popped up again.

In case anyone is looking for my post regarding the need for A&P’s to work on warbirds, I have removed the post as it was obvious that only one person was able to read and comprehend my post. As for the comments regarding export of warbirds, our aim is the preserve the unusual ones no matter what it takes. Comments were made regarding exporting from the US, if this is so offensive to some people, why does the US import so many warbirds and no-one is offended? It matters less where they are, as long as they are preserved. I did also state that warbirds will be brought into the US, but it seems the ability to read continued to be a problem for most who responded in some way.

He also mentioned being in Oz later in the year “to inspect a warbird or two we are interested in”.. which leads me to think this mysterious outfit doesn’t actually have any airframes yet.

Must be the week for it, some bloke for Scotland (David Morton) popped up on the WIX fb group with claims of knowing how to own & operate warbirds for free, but apparently he doesn’t have a pot to **** in.

A way to obtain warbirds and operate them for free. Substantial commissions for successful leads brought to me to use the process.

Some kind of chancer whose FB page links to a GoFundme page to pay for his flying lessons & after two months can’t work out why no one has donated a penny…

    from wix:

Update: 20 April 2017 –The hearing has been moved to 28 April due to the judge, that was scheduled to hear the case, has had some dealings with the airport and county. The request was made by Yanks Air Museum. It is also rumors that SOCAL MRO and Zangeneh Aeronautics has withdrawn from the case.

If climbing further, pilots would accelerate to supersonic speed at the tropopause before resuming the climb. on full re-heat topping out at about 65,000 feet on a good day. There are records of Lightning trials doing dummy intercepts of Upper Heyford Lockheed U2s in excess of 65.000 feet.

    Isn’t the record 88,000ft?

Reading through the compaint throws up several examples of outright fiction. They claim that airport tenants are caught up in traffic backed up for miles during the airshow. Truth is that the tenants get to use a separate gate & don’t face any traffic at all. I’ve used that gate during the show several times & there is absolutely no delay in getting into the airport. In fact it’s actually faster as they have a guy on the gate & it’s open when you get to it so you don’t have to stop to enter the code or RFID doodad at the sensor.

It seems an odd effort to stop a lawsuit by a petition…which has no legal standing.
If it were a government decision to stop an air show a petition might make sense by showing public opposition to the decision makers/bureaucrats, but a lawsuit is a different matter.
Presumably whoever initiates a lawsuit doesn’t care about alienating people who disagree over the matter, so I’m not sure how a petition would affect anything.

Odd…as is why an aviation museum would have issues with an event that brings people to the airport.
It’s been many years, but my experiences at the Tanks facility were very good. A open, welcoming group.

I assume the petition is so POF can show how much support the airshow has.

Yanks Facebook page is getting lit up.

It’s an AN827. No idea of the -# without knowing what dia tube it’s for. -2D is 1/8in & it goes up in 16ths, -5D is 5/16th etc…

Blue just indicates it’s made from aluminum, steel would be black, stainless would be bare metal. Stainless has a J instead of a D in the -#, Steel doesn’t have a letter.
