Thanks for the comments folks.
What is needed for successful rigging is thread, glue, sharp pointy tweezers and an inexhaustible supply of poor language. Also important is coping with ability of superglue to stick to everything except what you want it to stick to.
The Eduard Albatros would be a decent one to start with. 1/48 scale makes it a little easier and the rigging scheme isn’t too hard. Preparation is the key. It may be easier to rig it, or at least partially rig it before assembly is complete. I had a go a few years ago. It was one of first attempts at rigging and I’ve learnt a lot since then.

Was she a stand-in for someone else? She doesn’t seem to appear on the official list.

Almost everywhere the torch has been it has been met with large crowds and a great deal of enthusiasm – I suppose if you think people enjoying themselves is a waste of time then what can I say?
On a general Olympic theme, this makes for interesting reading.
A massive boost to UK economy in the middle of a recession – sounds like a good idea to me.

8000 torch bearers supporting and raising money and awareness for good causes, thousands, if not millions of members of the public out to support them in all weathers and enjoying themselves in the process. Utter tosh? Really?

We went to see it yesterday in Buxton. According to the news, 15000 people turned out to see it and it seems these scenes have been repeated across the UK.
It is nice to see the British come out in large numbers in support of something good.

Well it was OK yesterday but it is back to normal on my laptop, i.e. crashing every visit and that’s with IE9 on Vista. This is the only website that does this on a regular basis.
My desktop running Opera on windows 7 seems to be OK or at least has been for the last couple of days.

Meanwhile, back at the topic, the site is crashing almost every time I visit now and requires a browser restart. This is on both a laptop running IE8 on Windows Vista and a desktop running Opera and Windows 7.
