nice shots, Anna, but I reckon Old Warden beat Kemble in the Frigidaire stakes yesterday evening – it were perishing, it were..
A brace of Yaks flew over the outskirts of Welwyn G.C. just after mid-day, heading N.W. One had smoke on, the other was performing a relaxed barrel roll round it at a safe distance.
How did you manage not to get your reflection in the ‘rear of headlamp’ shot?
Surely it’s only vampires who have that particular trait…….
Here’s the original at Biggin c.1993 (scan from transparency, complete with hairs and dust spots, I really must learn to Photoshop).
If you look at the Green Party’s policies , there’s a ‘colour’ shift towards deep Red – in the manner of Michael Foot style ‘Old Labour’ state intervention. However I agree with them about the third runway, if only because by the time it’s built and operational fuel will be so costly that the days of cheap flights and an ever expanding aviation sector will be over. BAA will have to rent it out as a drag strip.

Spotted Wednesday 14th. at 13.00hrs, Yak 11 low fast buzz of Panshanger then break to land. Took off again 17.30 hrs, circled and low fast pass over airfield before heading home (L. Gransden ?). Nice sound from big fat radial.
So, the USA goes one step closer to socialism… And most likely one step closer to bankrupcy.
….and who’s responsible for the state of the US economy ? this is the result of unfettered capitalism…. it makes me cringe when you see hear ‘ordinary joes’ in the street gobbing forth with the crass opinions of their overlords in the Republican party/big business.

Appalling slush, IMHO – that’s so bad it’s not even funny.

I’ll probably set up a deck chair in my garden and listen to it – I’m about 5 miles away as sound flies.

In other words, everyone who lives a decent lifestyle doesn’t have to subsidize the lifestyles of those who endanger themselves through drugs, unsafe sex, etc.
…and you could have added ‘those who endanger themselves by eating the chemical, preservative and salt-laced products of American multinational food manufacturers’.
Hands off Cadbury’s, by the way.
