Are you coming to New Zealand flyingcloggie?
The show has released a photo of the NZ-bound Buchon getting loaded.

I imagine that if you count the number of attendances (rather than just number of people who attend each type of event at least once for any given period), you get a rather different result.
Can’t wait for Dave Homewood to read that !
(Fokker DR.1’s)
Because he will object that he said it first?
What do you think we moan about on WONZ?
I love the prop too – better than mine of the TVAL Brisfit
Brisfit prop by Errol Cavit, on Flickr
Thanks for the photos from this great collection.
No love for the Hudson?

Thanks for the clarification jbs .. I’m very rusty on all this stuff LOL !
…going through the various forum discussions via google in the last 30 minutes, it is noted with not a small degree of dismay, that the tail group was sighted in an Antipodean Spitfire workshop….which to me reads Australia..??
…A genuine question….Is the sub Continent also considered to be Antipodean ?….. the picture of the shabby, incomplete empennage in a roller shuttered workshop just doesn’t look to be in Australia ??
‘Antipodean’ normally also includes NZ in the area of possibilities. A few Spitfires have been restored here.
A bit of a fund-raiser for the rebuild, and new photos of it in the hangar post-crash./

Well if you go to the start of the WONZ thread mentioned earlier, the film’s publicity in NZ had “The Dam Busters”
http://rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/23144/dam-busters-movie
So that is the film’s title, what the RAF says now is another matter.
To quote the Wings Over New Zealand thread, “Anyway the rumors that five Lancaster’s were / are stored next to where I work have now proven to be true”.
I’m guessing that these are all props, made up for the film rather than an undocumented stockpile of Lanc parts? Either way the photographs don’t prove that any more than a single Lanc-type object is stored at the facility shown.
There is more context earlier in the WONZ thread (the link provided above doesn’t place the post within its thread). No-one thinks these are anything other than mock-ups, and there is no reason to doubt the poster’s word that he saw several truck loads of broken-down film props.

If anyone requests it I’ll create a “Fords I have known” thread over on General and shift the relevant posts there. Frankly I feel relieved we are still not endlessly talking about that dog.
Moggy
It’s almost as if I thought Bad Taste was preferable to another round of barking…

The film is not dogged by a name, raising funds and the other aspects of a multi million pound business deal mean that filming does not start until everything is lined up. Peter Jackson did not get where he is today by missing out steps in the process.
Have you seen ‘Bad Taste‘? 😎
The Aussie mob’s full name is The Australian Vintage Aviation Society, generally said ‘Tav-as’. http://www.tavas.com.au/
I’m not aware of a public maintained list for TVAL, but On The Wings of History 2nd Ed plus the NZ register would serve pretty well. If you make a list, please share – I’ve been meaning to make an album with a photo of each (I am missing several e.g. 3 of the Snipes).
The NZ CAA website only allows certain searches, Regosearch is more flexible.
http://www.regosearch.com/search/results/?co=nz&Nf4=owner&Of4=eq&Vf4=+The+Vintage+Aviator+Limited

As they get registered, exported, or spotted they are mentioned on Wings Over NZ, searching on the reg will generally get you the known facts. They are often registered some months before being on show (e.g. the Camel was registered in Feb, but only seen last week).
…
Would be nice to see a bit more of the F2B (Bristol Fighter) that is hiding in the back of the hanger!! :eagerness:
