I’ve got one and the ticket to the Dominan theatre in London. From when my ATC sqaudron and I went to see it in 1969, when it was released.

It was lovely to see it in the air again. Even better to help launch it!

When we painted a Slingsby Kirby kite 1 glider in its ww2 markings we had to get permission from the MoD. We are now painting a German Grunau Baby 2b glider in ww2 markings we got permission from the German air achecte in London.

When i was thatching at Great Barford some years ago, i met an old fellow. we talked aeroplanes. I said that i came form Dunstable. We then got onto gliders and he had flown with the Northampton gliding club. His name was Reg Harding. Each luchtime he would come and talk, he brought his log books and old S&G,s. He had gone solo in the Slingsby Cadet. he later went on to be an ATC instructor at RAF Henlow. Going through his log book i saw some familar names, from my ATC sdn 460. Then i found my name he had flown me on 11/5/69 in WT867 Slingsby T31 or type 3 as we called them then. Sadly he passed away a few years later.
