Discovery Wings and Sky Sports are the only channels that get much viewing in our house. The missus watches Sex in the City on Paramount a bit as well. Most TV is total poo.

I fly the Tempest V quite a lot. Very nice aircraft. Good reflective textures too.

Great though her achievement is, they’ve had nothing but Ellen McArthur on the ITV news channel since 9 o’clock this morning! Think its what they call a “slow news day”

The government has just announced she’ll be made a Dame on her return. 🙂

All that hard work, and they go and cast her in a pantomime… 😀 😀 😀

How about this Mexican AF scheme? Pic from Stearman.net. Certainly would be one to get tongues wagging and shutters clicking!

The Stearman was fine until October when the spanners came out, now just having a quick make over during the winter and a general tidy up.

    New colour scheme too?

Good on her. Ellen McArthur’s actually a big heroine of the missus. I bought her the video of her Vendee Globe race, and found it a fascinating watch. She’s all the more incredible in her achievements in that she hails from land-locked Derbyshire!

Yes, if you replace the wings (wingtips and dogtooths wrong shape, wing in wrong place on fuselage, gear in wrong place on wing), canopy (wrong shape and size), nose (wrong shape), fuselage (too short), tailcone (wrong shape), gear doors (wrong shapes), it will eventually look like a Hunter!!

…but apart from that, what have the Romans ever done for us?

The Airfix FGA9 is not a bad kit, it’s an awful one!

With a bit of work, you can get decent results.

Very nice Hunter. I’ve built a couple of the Airfix FGA.9s recently. That’s not a bad kit, but this new one looks like it’ll have the edge in 1/72nd scale.

“Sold as seen” is pretty commonplace, as mentioned above, I don’t think Mr Ollerenshaw has a leg to stand on here.

How many of us would pay £10-15K for an item we’d never even seen “in the flesh”? Ollerenshaw’s a mug. Heart was clearly in the right place, but didn’t give it enough thought.
