The only place I know is a layby on the main road. As you come in to Cambridge off the A11 (I think its the A1303), turn left at the roundabout towards Addenbrookes Hospital and Cherry Hinton. You’ll be going past the airport on your right hand side. Along there are one or two impromptu laybys. Park in one of them and have a wander. Never “spotted” there myself, so can’t vouch for the view you’ll get.
Media are being told to be there for 11:30am, which suggests the mid-day take off time mentioned early rings true. Expect pictures on Anglia News, and presumably BBC Look East too…

Robbo can have first “dibs” on the tape Snapper, as I’m in the throes of a house move, so the chance to watch such televisual feasts will have to wait until mid-January! 🙁
2005 will be more of 2004 for me. More big shows, more small shows, more base visits, more opportunities to get the camera out. Thoroughly enjoyed last year, can’t wait for summer to kick in!
