It’ll be interesting to see what scheme XH558 wears as/when she returns to the air. Will people moan if she flies covered in logos?

G-CVIX looks fantastic. OK, so the scheme’s not authentic, but its far better to have a flyer than one sitting gathering dust in a museum. The Red Bull scheme might not be everyone’s cup of tea (or cup of sickly sweet energy drink!), but for my money it looks pretty damn striking.

2) when she last flew?

As far as I know, about 18 months ago, only for the gear to collapse on landing. I might (and probably am) be wrong.

I’m over at the Chinese tomorrow – second visit. First time I found it to be excellent food and pleasant service

Did the food measure up? The Japanese was incredible! Best night out in ages! Chef cooks it at your table and puts on a real show! Asahi beer’s not bad either…. 🙂

De Havilland Comet – BOAC livery. My dad bought it for me from a jumble sale in the early 80s. He built it and painted it for me – but the decals disintegrated in the water, so he had to paint them too! Wish I’d kept it. 🙁

Prince of Wales Road has rather nice looking 2:30 dregs. Rouen road just has societies dregs. And the dreg from Brundall is clearly nuts. She chatted me up while I was reading a book and waiting for Mrs Snapper to finish work. Bless her.

Here, Dan, have you tried the Chinese buffet at Riverside?

Never tried the Chinese in question. Always looks tempting though. Trying Ah So Japanese restaurant on Prince of Wales Road tomorrow night… No idea what to expect…
