Why is it, that these so called ‘honourable members’ always seem to refer to their transgressions, as ‘mistakes’?
Mistake:- An error or fault resulting from defective judgment, deficient knowledge, or carelessness.
I guess that sums it up.
According to the BBC.
It suggested of the £12,900 claimed through false invoices, it was likely around £7,500 was “outside the rules”, although Mr MacShane has apologised and repaid the entire £12,900.

While in no way condoning his actions, what will it cost to re-open a case and prosecute for £7500 in expenses? If it costs more than £7500 then I would suggest that losing his job and his career may be punishment enough.

He’s been suspended from parliament, suspended by the Labour party, so there may be a by-election either way, he loses his job.
The criminal investigation was dropped in July. Amazing what you learn by simply reading the article.

You could say the same about everything though. We are all expecting a vote on the EU and yet how many have read all that it involves, how many read the party manifestos before casting their votes in 2010?
If the British public are being fooled about the benefits of windfarms then they are not alone. Almost every developed nation have large plans for wind farms. Are they all wrong?
bazv – is there a problem here? A PM will do.

OK – you need to make it clear you’re talking about electricity prices only – not gas. Presumably everyone thinks the wind farms somehow appear magically at no cost
As far as payments for the elderly are concerned, Gideon reduced the winter fuel payments for you last year. That was nice of him wasn’t it.
Yes I am sure that the ‘Public’ know all the ‘ins and outs’ of energy generation and efficiency LOL
So the few posting here are experts on renewable energy generation are they? Really?
The Guardian wouldn’t have asked you anyway. It was a Yougov and an ICM poll reported by the Guardian.

Looks like the public aren’t too bothered.

The problem with opposing any particular form of energy generation is that you need to suggest an alternative and Gideon’s “dash for gas” cannot possibly be a good idea. We need to be more self-supporting in terms of energy – not less.
How can gas price increases be attributed to wind farms?
Oh no – the thread’s off again.

That’s very kind of you to say so Kev.
Coincidentally, I’ve just posted some pics of latest creation on the modelling section. (not any more)
