can’t agree with uni bone heads comming straight out of uni and jumping in front of life and job experienced officers that’s a load of male dangly parts !!

ten years ago i worked as a local street warden ( predesesors of the modern plastic police ) some of us were ex forces

the feed back from local business holders in the town centre was ” thank god you turned up !! we would have phoned the police but they are bloody hopeless and wouldn’t have done anything !!”

once funding ran out from europe our local council dropped the service like a hot pottato and the town centre is no longer patroled regularly , it was a service the whole community loved

it would seem the ideal candidate for the police for many years has been fat idle retards !! that have no b*lls to get stuck into anything that may be covered by health and safety or putting right the naer do wells of society

yet are like a tramp on a dropped pie to book photographers , legal motorists , whilst also making buffoons of themselves because of their lack of knowledge on actual laws

and that’s before you get onto the fact they are scruffier than the scrotes they (occasionaly ) arrest

if i or my brother in law had gone out on the street with the attitude , lack of knowledge , and lack of tidyness the current police do our individual bosses would have ****** us up and down

lol !! agree to some degree kev but again is it actualy as bad as people percieve we were in the fall out area from chernobyl and there are little effects ( to some degree pilots get more radiation flying at altitude )

the percieved fear is much exagerated to the reality

years ago i’d have said wow fantastic !! nowadays i’m less than impressed !!

for many reasons

1 train spotting is no longer the hobby it was you are more than likeley going to be arrested for suspision of terrorism nowadays than getting beaten up for being geeky !! in some instanses both on a bad day !!

2 having a name on a loco was once an honour for select things ,, for instace southern steam locomotives like merchant navy , battle of britain and west country class locomotives , amongst them names like , bodmin , winston churchill , tangmere , canadian pacific line
LMS locomotives like bahamas , kolhapur , etc all named after the empire

our local trams nowadays have the odd local name but one company has its name on the nameplates to sell chavs trainers , so it is looked on as advertising space rather than a thing of honour

quite a sad state of affairs that this once very honourable thing will be largely unimportant to the large proportion of british nowadays

i bet 99.9% don’t even look to see if they are named nowadays !!
