The SH in India didn’t have all the improvements built since that were in line for the Danish competition. As I wrote earlier, IMOHO this new ranking (2nd) is the biggest surprise.

TomcatViPYes. I do agree with you. Although it’s very debatable. For example, on the price equation this has no grounds with the reality. Also the limited weapons set that is qualified is clearly a no go for many.
It is simply regrettable the way this prog has been subsequently managed. As an illustration, we can even see again today how the deserted Mirage market share has been profitable only to competitors (Grip).

My whole point is actually that you build the first aircraft in a very different way to compared to setting up a production line for a BOEING 787, and yes I presume that they have problems too, sure there are lots of things even in the production line that has to be changed, actually that’s what test aircraft are for.
General and what appears to be moderately qualified and extraordinary negative statements on manufacturing might add a bit to the fun but not to the know how of this thread.
Previous statements on position of rivets for example, you can be pretty sure that there are exact tolerances for what can be accepted. I would look forward to something like rivet positioning, welding type or influence of resonance, that would be a contribution.
For rest of your diatribe, I have nothing that should be shared with someone attempting to stain someone’s reputation for the sake to hide some deficiencies.it’s despicable on the principle.

For your concerns, I drove a Saab for nearly 300k km admiring the quality of its manufacturing and clever engineering every single day I owned it, a car built in Gotheborg, a city where stand also one of my former employer with who I shared a great deal of satisfaction over our modest achievement in the auto industry (safety). I don’t care that the bird is Swedish, French or built by chimps or in the US. I have presently no stake at it that will stain the honesty of my comments. I share simply my concerns only given what I see.
Now, if it happens that intellectual honesty is something that repulse you, you might not want to share with me over a public forum. Thanks in advance.

In that sens, the AV8 will certainly do fine until deemed too costly. If F35, there is, it will certainly be to replace their F18s and Mirages. Adn then, why not inspiring themselves from UK with a joint operating squadron?

Poland will need to put on halt in its military expenditures once it has completed its present modernization. I don’t expect 35s until the 30’s. But it will all depends on what Eu and Ru transforms themselves into. And the present instability or weak resilience (Eu) does not hallow much long time projections.
Sadly, Poland has always been the recipient of the European and Russian convulsions. Historically (and this is not completely true when the Poles where ruled by Lithuanians [this was edited to not indulge any damages to your own historical knowledge – see below] (was it a Finish King, sorry forgot)) one way to balance this, would be a strong federation of North states. Then the 35 will be an obvious choice.
India:
I don’t see 35 operating alongside PakFA. It does not makes any senses. But I might be to rigid in my evaluation of the situation.
Belgium
Hummm probably. But will Belgium remains a single state in the same time? This less than probable. The Belgo-French political/Industrial sphere are now reached a pre-sectarians attitude and will play big just to surf on that theme/source of revenues.
Portugal
yes, you forgot that tiny state. At one point or another, they will need to buy something and discard their 16. Obviously the SH or Rafale will be the front runners but long term sustainability and Danes teach us that for a small fleet, it might even be cheaper to buy the LM fighter.
Greece
Sadly for the Greeks, once Erdogan will realize that his only latitude for an expansions (or surf on the nationalist theme) will be the Med, we will probably see some renewed tension there. So, it’s too early to say as it depends too much on internal politics of one state full of tremors lately, but I will put my money in this hypothesis (F35, partially externally funded – and why not the above theorized F35G ?!).
Taiwan
Either Taiwan becomes Chinese, either there will have 35s (and another foreign Stealth fighter). There will be better to ready themselves for that late hypothesis (USMC type of carrier).
