In order to maintain manual flying skills, we periodically hand-fly departures and approaches so as not to end up in the same situation as Asiana. But generally the entire flight is conducted on autopilot.
That’s why mandatory flight hours in single engines aircraft in IFR cld help maintain proficiency.
For example, a pilot on a 3 day rest, might be asked to get one flight hour during that time. Wherever he is doing that (he is on leaves so he might get the chance not to be stuck around an airport!), with light monitoring device, his efficiency during that “test” flight can be monitored by body carried sensor (a wrist belt linked to his smartphone and then sent back for analysis during the Commercial flight.
But in teh case of MH370, Pilots proficiency are certainly not in cause. I am more on the AF447 with that idea.

Negative stability was also present in F-16 and Su-27. It does have impact, I don’t deny that, however, TBH I have no means of implementing that into my estimates. So going estimating F-22 by using F-15 or Rafale by Mirage2k may not be exact, but a) but I don’t have anything better. b)such way of estimating (by ratioing things) is never supposed to be accurate anyway.

For a staggered config (tailplane in the wake zone of the wing), you’d need to add a coeff to reduce the negative impact. O.8 by memory. But’ you’d better check the NACA report on that subject and then navigate toward more modern design .I am sure you’d found enough interest doing so by yourself than me digging in my Archives.
And to make happy the Canard’s Boys, you’ll hve to add one also to that config.
To get it accuratly, perhaps you can use the T.O roll of the Grip and so on without the canard and then get a cte for the coeff out of it.

Gunner wasn’t just to operate the tail gun IIRC. Il-28s used their tail guns to great effect during bombing runs assent against anyone foolish to try to lob a manpad in their ass in Afghan. eason why they tried to field modify tail gun to Hinds in Afghan and gun pod were mounted the other direction
I remember reading about the tail gunner of a Blinder (old Tu22) shooting down a ManPad launched after his plane. Story was from pilots seating on ground during the bombing run !

Ok. There is a Thesis from March 2014 dedicated to Radar registry and target recognition in the Civil Industry using BSR.
Registry is not really new with RAM. Even the Russians have developed analog filters to make the process faster and be less dependents of the Processing speed capability (Jรต ?). Those are to be used in every 5th Gen aircraft. Does it really need hundred of pages to says so ?
What I didn’t see is a stat for the target recognition giving a positive indication of the number of detected contacts on Very low RCS targets .But probably I missed something here or I am of bad mood.
Remember that F-15 weights 5 tons less than F-22. This means the F-15 has less induced drag than F-22.
This is a rather acrobatic assumption. 30 years of technology have flown btw both those design.

92 corrosion occurences in the helicopters, which it attributes to a combination of design and assembly faults and the wrong choice of materials. In some cases, the corrosion was caused by combining materials without isolating them.
