Which competitor provides a better jamming solution?

    ๐Ÿ˜€

FoR’s an issue only for operations at relatively low altitudes. For most other missions, it’ll be adequate.

Which fighter IRST offers multi-spectral capability?

Never seen a fighter jet acquiring a Balistic missile at such a range before. But you do so I guess…

So bored with you LowObservable that I won’t ever bother to post a link of the vid I’ve in mind..

Pls change your nick, you’re insulting an entire species (and my very own name refer to cats)

Boeing offers KC-46 for South Korea tanker requirement

    Extracted from the above:

Boeing says the model will be able to operate โ€œfrom a large variety of smaller airfields and forward-deployed austere basesโ€ โ€“ a veiled reference to the larger Airbus A330-200-based multirole tanker transport

Concerning that excellent report (that I’ve read), I still have some interrogation that puzzle me:

    – If they consider in their hypothesis that flight was at a cte alt for the cruise pattern it only means that they understand that the plane was on an “alt hold” regime, probablywith auto-pilot on from start.

Cruise regime impart a parabolic profile with the weight of the plane going down, the plane climb until it reaches an other equilibrium btw weight, lift, drag and speed.

    – Why didn’t they cross checked the hydrophonic data recorded with that of the search patterns ? I understand that both patterns doesn’t match but hydropnonic records varies greatly with temp and density. As sea bed mapping was lacking in precision in this zone, this lack of knowledge shld have compensate for the drift of the zone where an “event” was recorded.

    – Manual phone calls have generated two points of data that are now useful for the search. Wouldn’t it be interesting to recommend this being practiced in the future for the sake of latter forensic search ?

    – The report mentions teh search for noise of a fuselage implosion but if the fuselage have been breached (in-flight fire, decompression, explosion, crash at sea which remains parts of the most plausible hypothesis), there is no implosion. Water fills gradually the fuselage and there is a pressure equilibrium. It’s hard to think that the plane went at sea with a full hull integrity. This is not a ship heavily loaded. This is a light aluminium structure optimized for internal volume.

    Think about it:
You buy three at the cost of two
    You lost two at war
    One remains servicable
You paid two times the price

Add the cost of causalities, mission objectives failed etc.. And then you’ve got the right equation.

Just as the Gnat was a failure, contender that don’t fill the pictures are. The only way is to sell an overall systems (Saab / Boeing for example*). Some are simply trying to pack everything in a box and call it the perfect bread (the OmniBox – The TyphiesBox)… Well this is not Mac Donalds. This is global market.

    * I like the new “Horfale” concept by the way

[…] analyst Michael Knights of the Washington Institute.

โ€œIt could be a sneaky way of using Iranian air power,โ€ he said. โ€œThey could keep Iranian pilots flying that stuff โ€” all you are changing is whatโ€™s painted on the wings, really.โ€

So far as I know flying wings have still problems to get under control in every flying condition. I doubt a flying wing will make all the maneuvers like a conventional jet. They are restricted in maneuverability.

    Enjoy!

The very low wing load of the B-2 rises reasonable doubts of it’s ability for longer rides in tree top heights to get into highly defended airspace

The B2 was designed to do so (see the B2 story doc as posted on this website)

with latest radar technology (long wave, bi- and multistatic radars etc.). With an opponent with latest radar technology one is forced to go to tree top.

    Old assessment. Debunked lately:

Do you realize what you just wrote ?

Is the Raf the first Franco-Marxist Fighter ?

You guys need some holidays. I guess that LM and Boeing will gladly pay for it. Free mini-bar and massages I guess…

How wld hve Fr or Brit jet have made a difference ?!!!

Does he means that they were seeking to buy ex FrAF Mirage F1 ? Or What ? Ramp seating Typhoon ? Refurbished something ?

It’s really confusing. I can see the point with an hypothetical Mirage F1 buy but nothing was ever stated in the press unless the recent retirement of the fleet despite its useful contribution in term of cost effectiveness. What does it means ? That by ordering Rafale or Typhoon yesterday he would have been able to deploy them today?

[JokeMode=ON] Or is he talking about re-introducing some good old Hunter. For sure those ADEN would found some usage [JokeMode=OF]
