The argument for Kfir blk 60 is compelling a very good multi-role jet with good avionics weapons mix zero time over haul giving some 25 years service at a very good cost price of 500 million dollars but is this to much for the government Argentina.
I wonder why the IAF hve discarded their own Kfir long ago and bought expensive F16 in the US?

That the F1M deal might hve lacked a certain sense of vision does not makes the option of buying Kfir the apogée of the the good will. Otherwise, why not buy directly some upgraded F4 to the Turks/KAF and open an industrial strategic partnership?
F16, a better French package (that does not hve to be on a Fr airframe 😉 ) or Gripens built in Br with the Ar industry filling in the gap for an increase tempo of service introduction, will look much much better.
This is the South Am, the Sth Atlantic, it’s their own playground and it will look BIG in the future. I hope they won’t let old retro-colonialist arguments bully that opportunity.
