The US aircraft industry is what it is today because of the free access to a high level of quality information. People are able to appreciate the challenges, follow the tech, ready/trains themselves to participate and that makes the finest of them able to foresee the next level.
Hide this under an oath away of public access and scrutinity and you’ll end at light speed in a situation where you’ll have a retrograde industry with stubborn leader reigning as much as dark princes on their (not so little) prerogatives.

When filtered (and I don’t doubt that it is), what’s the problem with a few pale copies? (Plus you get the right to introduce false technological solutions that would lead the laziest in a costly dead-end (canards?).
