I’d say “Mary Alice” (44-83735) upon arrival at Duxford during the mid-70’s

Neuburg a/Donau, Germany, around 1987 – lots of heavy metal, i.e. F-4’s plus the best ever EE Lightning display I had seen.
The speaker repeatedly called out a yellow car (VW Beetle), with number plate, etc, ordering the owner/driver to remove the car immediately since it was blocking the access route for emergency vehicles. – The calls became more and more urgent in tone plus added the remark that the car would be removed at the owners cost shortly.
Soon thereafter, a Luftwaffe CH-53 helo trundled over the field with a yellow VW Beetle hung underneath – in mid-field, the car was dropped from approx 500 ft.
What a sight !

General opinion on wether to post some photos of the scrapman cutting up/ removing Echo Alpha from Binbrook
Oj ! – you intend to wreck our (my) weekend ? –

Amazing playground Steve – looks like one of my dreams materialized…..
Good eye. Rapide B, Serial #1450. My mechanic Blaine Laux restored it about 10 years ago. Behind it is a 1929 Henderson Excelsior, a 1934 Harley VLD, and a 1945 Harley 45WL
Wot – no Indian ? – sheesh
Cordially

Hi folks – I am a regular ebay user and was able to add many OOP books to my collection over the years, plus photos, negatives, slides, etc.
As ex-modeller, I have to tell you that during the current moving of my appartment, I looked through some cardboard-boxes containing old kits – didn’t know what I still had and since I stopped building models about 15 years ago, there probably are some treasures: I am talking about Frog, Novo, Airfix, Matchbox, Heller, Monogram, Hasegawa, Williams, Italaeri 1/72, plus some assorted 1/48 kits, for example two Tamiya Lancasters….. they all look for a new home/owner.
Since this board doen’t have a buy/sell/trade category, and I don’t intend to sell through ebay, please PM me with your interests – maybe I have something you look for.
Kind regards and best wishes for the weekend (it’s starting to snow here in Switzerland).
