I say get the BBC to do a documentary about the aircraft, presented by Jeremy Clarkson!

OR get it featured on top gear

they need a celebrity face to speak for them! (Both projects)

haha its a good sport 😀 ive never jumped anything like that, but i jumped over a few of my friends speedboats on holiday last year 😉

Those two are crazy though, those kites look to be out in winds well over their wind range tbh (badtimes if you’re not careful)

Unfortunately the knee injury I sustained two years ago as a result of a FUBAR landing on a beach two years ago meant that the RAF wouldnt take me 🙁

Heres the result of using a big kite in waaaaaaaaay too much wind! had a graze going all up the underside of my left arm and the side of my chest

From memory I think it was meant to be based on an Avro ‘what if’

You’re correct about the M.39 Libellula though, it was to test the idea for a proposed bomber.

🙂 muahahaha my geekish knowledge of aircraft kicks in again (or rather wikipedia :diablo: )

That is a Vickers Type “C” design drawn up to a WW 2 specification for 6 engined longe range bombers. Its on the cover of “British Secret Projects, Fighters and Bombers 1935-1950” by Tony Buttler.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/British-Secret-Projects-Fighters-1935-1950/dp/1857801792/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258409243&sr=1-4

    Only £139 from Amazon !!!!!!!!

Well i cant see myself getting that book anytime soon :diablo:
