 i thought we all loved classic aircraft here.
i hardly think it’s the aircraft’s fault for being associated with one side or another
beautiful, its strange that the Fw 190 isnt more popular, or is it due to the rarity of original airframes?
if its acessible, you could always get a real one to fly in :diablo:
i do love these rumours, they are delicious 😀
talking of whirlwinds, does anyone know how XJ729 is doing, id love to see her back in this country, if only i had the money…
lovely photos, thanks for sharing 🙂
is there any particular story behind them?
 why did the chap who does own the dove and meteor (his name eludes me at the moment) claim, when i spoke to him at the site just over a year ago now, that the sea prince is in fact his. and that he has a containerload of spares for her. im sure ive discussed this before with the forum on a past marston thread.
Regards
Ben
not from that surface! 😮
The thing is, the whirlygig shackleton and canberra are owned by the land owner, i believe that the meteor 7and sea prince are owned by a different party than the chap who owns the hunters etc. At the end of the day the canberra and shackleton are too big to move, the dove is pretty much totally gutted, and the sea prince is almost the unofficial gate guard for the long marston site.
good news that they’ve been sorted, its a shame that i couldnt have done anything, having been told in the past various things… ah well still some aircraft left to save.
dont be so disgusting, this is a public forum remember!!! 😀
🙁
personal opinion of course :p when i said attractive, i meant, id like it myself to fly about in 😛
i think the leopard is a really rather attractive aircraft and would like one myself. however, isnt the one that is now at coventry air museum, the one that WAS at bournemouth?
🙁 the death of another great titan of the air…
TSR 2.
Paint it in camouflage and horse it down Loch Ness at zero feet at top knots.
i think something may have happened in my groin area… 😀
