BB concerning your last post, you said yourself “TVOC assumed that and indeed hoped that all the airtests would be completed in two flights after first flight”
Bert, to be honest after 7 years and that much money, and having had the project almost go down the tubes several times. anyone would hope for snag free test flights! i certainly would 😉
is there anything constructive in continuously bashing this project? do you have some personal issues with tvoc?
last post was 28th november, i hope you’re ok
as always i think you will find that “money” is the deciding factor lol 😀
good question! the fact that the chap ejected and the aircraft isnt a smouldering pile of wreckage, must be one of the extremely rare instances where the aircraft would be potentially reuseable! hope you get and answer 745! im intrigued now 🙂
maserati quattroporte 😉 nice hehe
beautiful engines, i want one! lol
definitely lancaster!
who would you put on the mosquito table though :diablo:
that i can remember, first flight was in westland Whirlwind HAR.10 XJ729 early 90’s but it may have been a cherokee (my dad used to take my sister and i with him when he had flying lessons) 🙂
hope ur ok bex, how is 773 going? 🙂
all negativites aside, im currently planning my summer airshow excursions and i was wondering wether waddington, or RIAT would have the best chance of having 558? i cant afford both and i know both are superb days out 🙂
according to demobbed, thats where she is too
” WS760 Meteor NF(T)14 – Museum – East Midlands Aeropark – Jan 2008″
at the end of the day most museums have at least one or two airframes that arent on display/ in storage somewhere. i recall that cosford has a whole hangar full of aircraft and bits in storage, including most of the supersonic hawker prototype mockup!
Ben
well my dad used to buy flypast an aeroplane magasines that i used to read when i went to visit him when i was younger, coupled with his involvement in the last airworthy westland whirlwind (heli) XJ729 really sparked my interest in aviation, i went to my first ever airshow in 1996 (legends) and i remember the P38 lightning being rolled out for its display, the same aircraft i believe was involved in a tragic accident soon after i believe 🙁 after a spitfire flew over and i heard that wonderful merlin howling as it went over, the goosebumps on my skin said it all, totally obsessed with aircraft from then on!
with regards to this forum, i found it quite by chance whilst searching for information to do with the sad collection at long marston 🙁 im that much of a geek that the historic aviation forum is my homepage and a tab that i always keep open 😀
Hi all
It is a 1/24 scale vac-form kit, not really for the amature modeller, to be honest it’s going to take me some time to do it right, Nashio, yes this kit can be converted to run on a small rocket motor or electric motor but I will be doing it as a desktop model.
Regards,
John.
john, i was looking around a while ago for some insane model to annoy my mother with and the thought of a wren gas turbine powered model intrigued me,

this is what i found 1/12 scale moulded GRP, still considering it, if you search there is one on youtube with a mini jet engine in 🙂
lancman, are you guys open to visitors any day or are weekends better? 🙂
Ben (nashio)
have you seen the scale one in which you can put a miniature gas turbine??? they look like a real laugh hehe 😀
XL391, just out of interest, did they discharge the chap from the Raf for doing it?! (excuse me for being thick)
LOL@ “Vodka Burner” and “We have Smirnoff”
This is another hairy take off apparently due to insects blocking the pitot tube so the pilots were getting false ASI readings. The aircraft took out one of the runway lights too. Just as well the section of fence was already missing or that would have gone too.http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8XbINavHtiA
Martin
well technically it has 4 thin wings at the top and 4 at the back … lol
