after trawling the Raf Website, it seems that none of the listed aircraft are due for immediate retirement,
another clue perhaps? 🙂
lovely aircraft, pity about the misspelling of “reduction”

” Hey There: from 1943-46,,,you say she was in the war,,,what was her mission??? was she ever ,,,shot down???,,,please,,,let me know,,,very curious Danny M 🙂 PS GREAT LOOKING PLANE”

pity we dont have an Ex raf one flying 🙁 damn the SALT treaty!
Having thought about it more, though im not sure weather it counts as a warbird, but i really think that the Phantom FG.2 is rather attractive, also the buccaneer S.2, though all of this coming from a geek that thinks certain aircraft are more attractive than certain women, though it can go either way  😉
Oh and the most important thing……
It looks MUCH BETTER than that F-35 ‘bathtub’…. 😀 😀 😀
definitely agree with that
just wow, i love the bucc and they are beautiful pictures, really beautiful 🙂 did you take them yourself?
i understand where you’re coming from, personally i have no opinion on the matter, but thats me. i intend to see her as much as possible this summer and enjoy her while she’s up in the sky. thanks for replying to my post 🙂
well said ben 😀 Bert, this is a monumental achievement, surely you can see that? why do you persist in belittling what they have done. give it a rest, we heard you the first time.
The one of the sunset is stunningly beautiful. if memory serves correctly you also took some amazing photos of a pair of GR9 harriers in wales? all are fantastic pictures 😀
im looking at building a 1/4 scale tsr2 for my Degree next year. when it comes to large scale RC models, the place to start is with the large model designers, such as Nick Ziroli he has a couple of really nice models, mustang (not a mark one im afraid) bearcat, thunderbolt, warhawk etc all gorgous aircraft and well designed models.

or alternatively you can buy a kit, cut from some of the more prominent designers plansfrom from belair kits (uk) they also have the ability to laser cut out a kit from a CAD design.
the reason i would reccomend these, apart from most of the smaller ones being under 20kg eliminating the need for the LMA :diablo: they are tried and tested designs, they dont cost multiple thousands of pounds to build, and are fairly simple in the construction. the problem is price, twice the size, four times the cost to build. definitely go with a ziroli or palmer design as your first
