having thought about that post i realised afterwards that the mra4 is the next inline, only the other day, will any of the current fleet be retired and offered up for sale?
is there an out of service date for the nimrod yet?, whats the replacement going to be?
thanks for the info 🙂
anyone know if the vulcan cockpit at wellesbourne XA903 is still for sale?
Definitely antiflash white, no questions asked :D:D
i know the one you mean, ive always wondered the story behind it
anyone know why the vulcams aren’t working anymore? have they been taken offline so people don’t know when she’s going to fly for the first time?
I didn’t even know this type was produced:

that looks remarkably like the hughes XF-11 though it says that the nose section was made by the hughes tool company, after the first XF-11 crashed (had contra rotating props) i think hughes stipulated that the other two be fitted with single props, which makes them look very similar
i think he means how many gloster meteors are there left that can fly in the uk/world, not really made apparent though 😉
how much would one cost? :diablo:
XX885 is supposed to be flying at somepoint in this year i thought? i think the reason that the CAA hadnt looked kindly upon one flying in this country is that no one had really made an effort to try, not a simple aircraft. my understanding was that that aircraft mentioned above was part of a real effort to restore one to flying condition, all i can say is that i want one!!!:D
she looks wonderful, and considering the age of the design, still looks frighteningly modern, anyone else think so?
does that mean he has the rest of the components or are they indeed at crash sites, which has already been mentioned:)
ben
looks interesting, is he asking a lot for what you get or is it cheap?
