pretty sure the intended replacement for the canberra was Tsr-2 bex, 🙂
for an example go to the history page of the below link 🙂
http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/tsr2/index.html
also the wikipedia link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TSR-2
for the life of me i cannot remember who told me about the TSR-1 and TSR-2 designations, it seems logical that the canberra would have been designated as TSR-1 if their planned replacement was TSR-2, otherwise i would have thought that the MoD would have called TSR-2, TSR-1 instead :diablo:
*sigh* it seems as if im not going to live that mistake down  as it says in the title, Raf tornadoes, and unless you watch it all the way through and freeze it, its not easy to see otherwise 😮
I thought it was tactical strike and reconaissance 2 because the canberra was Tsr.1 and the Tsr.2 was going to be its sucessor?
come to think of it, im pretty sure ive seen a picture of an Raf buccaneer about 4 inches of the tarmac?
so any ideas as to when she will be flying then? 😀
any ideas what the one at the bottom is? never seen that type before 😮
seeing Black-6 at 1994 flying legends, i think. i just remember that i thought she sounded and looked like the most beautiful thing i had ever seen or heard, i remember being completely awestruck, my dad had to pick me up and carry me on, otherwise i would have stayed there all day. ill never forget it 😀
i had to admit the last one didn’t look like a twin engine aircraft, the angle that the vid is taken from makes it difficult to tell what they are, my bad about the phantoms though….still flying like that deserves a couple of mentions not just one?:diablo: cheers
in addition to the three insane tornado pilots in above, how about some mental german pilots in their F-4’s???

Check this out, its just awesome, imagine that in a frightning :diablo: *evil cackle*
also a pretty good compilation of low level mirages

and some generally insane americans

Best one in that is where an F-14 does a flyby at no more than 40 feet, between two ships (below the carriers main deck ) jsut breaking the sound barrier, its awesome because the water below him is being affected by his shockwave :diablo:
What looks to be a C-130 on finals to Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska, found whilst searchin to see if i could find KB-29 “Lady Of The Lake” which is just on the surface of one of the surrounding lakes,
damn, the fullsize picture is too large 😡 oh well there’s the link ^ and the cut down photo (sorry i really couldn’t be bothered to shrink it, 3 and a half hours of chemistry A Level exams and whatnot fries your brain! :p ) :D:D:D
thanks for the info guys, what’s it like being strapped into one on full reheat, or are there no words that can do this experience any justice 😀
whats with the tyres on the port wing? i wish that i had been born 40 years ago so i could have flown one of them on active duty, that would have been awesome!:diablo:
😮 it looks like they have all been abducted by either a UFO or a large bedspread :diablo:
just having a peer for the hali now, any idea what her approx location of the forest is, as it does seem to be rather a large place 😀
Im pretty sure that these aren’t radial engines 😀 😀 😀
