    Pretty sure that the P.1154 was to have PCB, im sure ive seen a picture of one of the BS100 Engines developed for the P1154 painted in an odd rainbow spectrum of heat sensitive paint?

    pretty sure elvington has one of the longest runways in the uk?

    So as has been mentioned on the retirement thread, its been announced on UKAR that Elvington are getting one which leaves the list as follows

    1) Manchester
    2) Newark (possible)
    3) EMA
    4) Brunty (possible)
    5) Elvington

    Any others?

    Ah well, cant blame a chap for trying 😉 that said id be careful with that LP, you could get totally nailed on import tax, im not entirely sure, might be worth ringing up customs 🙂

    Just a little update

    The word on the airfield today was that Mr Rigby has signed on the dotted line and now is the owner/operator of the airfield.

    I would say that an original 1934 MG-PA is not a heap of junk, nor is my father “miserly” I would ask that you try not to confuse my family with your own mate 🙂

    My point still stands. If someone is happy to bring along a car (such as my fathers) Or any other for the enjoyment of others and to better the show, why should they be charged for it.

    Abingdon is the only show that charges classic car owners to bring their cars to exhibit (that I know of) I remember the last time I went to kemble airday we werent booked into the classic car list, but were shown through immediately and allowed to park in the classic car enclosure.

    There are plenty of wings and wheels events 🙂

    I just think its cheeky to charge people to exhibit their cars for the airshow organisers, dont you think?
