If you trawl throught that PPRune thread, there’s eventually a link to a Daily Telegraph article that says he’d been pulling too much G.
The mass balloon ascent:

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Squirrel-fest!

The Reds.

I’d go for any era where I could fly without getting shot at!
I try to always carry a camera with me as I got fed up of seeing aircraft in the sky that were too far away to recognise. Now I just zoom in, take the photo and then zoom in on the screen to see what it is. Saw a distant helicopter from my window yesterday and this tactic showed it to be G-OEMT, the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Thanks guys.
Pagen, I’m not sure about the Gemini. Sometimes it looks pretty and from other angles I think it just looks daft.
Orion, I nearly didn’t go myself because it was so windy here during the day and I didn’t think there’d be much flying. Luckily I decided that as it’s only 20 minutes up the road it’d be no great loss if I went anyway and it turned out to be a great show.
Anyway, here’s the last few:

And here’s some more of the other stuff:

I was down by the Land Warfare Hall and the Mew Gull was banking away well before it got to me so the only in-flight pictures I have are of the underside, which isn’t particularly exciting. nevertheless here it is:

and the Active:

The Dutch Dakotas were at Duxford. I also saw one of Marshall’s fire appliances there so presumably that solved the fire cover issue that I understand was the reason they were intending on landing at Cambridge in the first place.
Thanks Steve.
Here’s a few more:

There was a little bonus at the end of the display in the form of a fly-by from a pair of Apaches that happened to be in the area.

Nice pics. I think the police should be equipped with Apaches. That’d make the crims think twice!
