According to my searches on Google earlier, VP-CTF is owned by AMAC Aerospace, whoever they maybe.
Great stuff. Nice catch with the Herc. I was down there today. Got quite a few bizjets, that Squirrel (G-VONG) popped in again and I tried to get a pic of the Herc but as usual with anything interesting they’ve parked it with as many obstructions as possible in the way. 😡
I love those hangars too. I’ve got loads of airshipless pics of them, but when I heard there was one there and saw the weather this morning I couldn’t resist.
Just been to Cardington and got some shots of the airship. Thanks for the heads up EGTC. Will post them in a new thread in a minute.
If you load it through the downloaded Google Earth, rather than via Google Maps website, it tells you the imagery date at the bottom – 27th June 2010.
The other Red can be seen to the north-east in a steep turn.
Cheers Guys. Frakky, the Piper was G-GZRP, which is apparently owned by Air Medical Fleet at Kidlington. It turned up about 3pm and left half an hour later. We do appear to the place pretty well covered between us, but I’m off on holiday on Sunday so I’ll have to leave it up to you for the week!
Lovely stuff.
OK, I’ll play…
Chipmunk x 5 – WB652 (twice), WP981, WK517, WZ872, WP974
Grob Vigilant x 2 – ZH122, ZH121
Dakota – G-AMPZ (Air Atlantique)
all as an air cadet, then a 14 year gap before:
Fokker 100 x 2 – D-AGPD, D-AGPC (Air Berlin)
737-600 x 2 – LN-RPU, LN-RPH (Scandinavian)
737-700 – LN-TUK (Scandinavian)
737-800 – LN-RCN (Scandinavian)
Airbus A320 x 2 LZ-WZB, LZ-WZA (Wizz Air)
and then next Sunday LGW to TLS on a Thomas Cook A321 and back again the following Sunday.
Will the RAF be putting a CAP up to deal with any intrusions?
They’ll be putting up an air cadet in a Tutor with a water pistol. It’s all we’ll have left by then!
Nice shots. I saw there was a Titan departure today, I was hoping someone snapped it. Looks like there was a bit more variety than usual. Apparently the Jet2 and Titan were both going to Barcelona, I have no idea why, but Jet2 is on the departures board to go again at 07:30 tomorrow.
Edit: Just seen Arsenal are playing Barcelona tomorrow night, maybe something to do with that?
And there was me thinking “exotic 737” was an oxymoron! Great pics.
Thanks Tartan. I certainly wouldn’t normally stand in the rain shooting EZY and FR. I only went down for the Cityjet, but it was an hour late so I used them for target practice. Was pleased to see the DHL movement though, they’re always parked when I go up there but I’ve never seen one move before!
Thanks guys.
The Cityjet flight came in from CDG, so maybe a charter to do with the rugby?
Islander bimbling back and forth high above Luton Airport around noon today.
