I love the photos that people dig up from their attics and shoeboxes, they give a good view on aviation -how it was and how it is. More sympathetic than some aviation related websites where your picture is rejected when there is one faulty pixel, or a lamp post which the screeners don’t like.

125052 displayed on board USS Lexington. Picture taken in 1993, before restoration. I still have some editing to do on those old slides….

Not really films, but you should try to get your hands on the French made documentary “Tankers en Plein Ciel”, which is about B-727’s in Angola flying around as tankers to supply diesel fuel for mining operations to/from dirt airstrips, and the Danish made documentary “Jesus Christ Airlines” which tells the story of the semi-illegal operations of civil airliners flying food and weapons during the Biafran war from Sao TomΓ© the to Ulli airstrip.

I’ve built a lot of those Airfix kits, but nearly all of them got lost when time passed by. You know, moving house, nephews who thought they were toys etc.
The ones I regret the most of getting lost or broken are the Bristol B-170 Mk32 and the B-29.
I also built the Spitfire, but the parts didn’t fit well. The wings are level instead of a bit v-shaped, the nose was a bit bent off to the left. But it’s one of the few that I still have. With a few bits missing, that is.

For all lazy people and everybody who speaks/reads no French: use babelfish, at http://babelfish.altavista.com/

It doesn’t give a perfect translation, but at least you will understand what they are talking about.

Don’t worry it will sort itself out I can assure you. If it gets too bad you could move too poland because then there would be plenty of room over there.

No. Poland has an influx of people from the Ukraine who are now taking up the jobs in Poland which are no longer taken up by the Polish themselves. Ukrainians can earn more money in Poland than in their home country. So- in Poland they have the same kind of labour related immigration and associated problems, or solutions, depending on your views about this.
