One of the flypast has just been put up.
Well, that video posted just above shows just what an abysmal job was done by Sky News!
And that was recorded with a Fuji S7000 and not thousands and thousands of pounds worth of professional media equipment!!

Beautiful Rich, just Beautiful.
Good luck getting in Rob, apparently according to my man in the field, traffic around Brunty is bedlam and the Police are taking a hard stance, no written invitation, no access!!
Ooooh,
Don’t you just love all of the suspense!!

Not really but anyway, from us all here at the Blackburn Buccaneer Society, the very best of British to you and the rest of the team and wish you every success with her first flight and the long display seasons that lie ahead for Vicky.
Got to go careful here, started posting too many messages on forums, people might start thinking that I’m an armchair aviation fan 😮 😀
If I remember correctly it was undertaken by XZ431, which strangely, will be coming down for the anniversary weekend, albeit as only a nose section now.
Any other footage would be great as well, don’t worry too much about not knowing the dates as I am sure, through our resources, we can locate the exact date and the crew.
Now that’s more like it Rob, the reason behind the display footage is so that during our 50th Anniversary do at Bournemouth, one of the ex-display pilots can talk us through the sequence.
Many thanks in advance.
Thanks for those John but we already have these archived.
How about the book “Buccaneer S.1 – From the cockpit”

You can drop the Vulcan DVD around anytime you wish as I now work from home (sometimes).
Personally, I think that the two Bristol Siddeley BS-605 rockets fitted to the SAAF’s Buccaneer S.50’s, were an engineering marvel.
My buddies at Scampton would love that, nicely displayed in the crew room.
Excellent piece of art.
A few years ago there was a dealer in Birtley, Tyne and Wear who had 3 Bucc cockpit sections, and a large industrial unit FULL to the brim of boxed Bucc spares including a couple of brand new canopies. I had a rummage around (with the owners consent) and there was all kinds there, from tyre valves to instrumentation, to engine bits and panels. The dealer is no longer there and I don’t recall the name. The cockpits were exposed to the weather and didn’t stay there very long. The stuff is out there to have a Bucc RTF. HHA’s would be the most likely candidate in the uK though.
Salvair, an operation run by Les Richards, Les was forced to close due to H&S, luckily enough, the three sections, XT280, XX888 & XV161, all found new ownership, as did all of the parts, we took a batch, HHA had a fair amount and Thunder City cleared what was left.
if you bought one with a view to flight restoration.
Where on earth would you find enough spares to enable another RTF status Buccaneer, would be my main question.
how much would one cost? :diablo:
If I remember correctly, XZ431 sold for just over £4K back in 2000, XV863 was over £5K this year, both of these machine were sold through the DSA.
Privately, you would see no change out of £15K, remember, buying one is the easy part, forking out for the specialized transport is another cost which has to be looked into and this can vary dependant on who moves it and how far it has got to travel.
