but please never accusing us of supporting scum who want to tear our nation apart

But it’s alright for them to receive “moral and diplomatic” support and kill innocent women and children and elected officials in J&K?

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan ? A rocket-propelled grenade apparently was fired at a U.S. military helicopter ferrying relief supplies to quake victims in Pakistan’s portion of disputed Kashmir on Tuesday, but the aircraft was not hit and nobody was injured, a spokesman said.

The attack occurred as the helicopter was flying over Chakothi, a quake-ravaged town near the Line of Control that separated Pakistan’s portion of the Himalayan region from the area controlled by India, Capt. Rob Newell, a spokesman for the U.S. military relief effort, told The Associated Press.

“A United States Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter that was flying in the vicinity of Chakothi delivering relief to earthquake victims is believed to have been fired on by a rocket-propelled grenade today around 1:45 p.m.,” he said, adding “the aircraft was not hit and returned safely with its crew” to an air base near the capital.

Newell said the U.S. Army and the Pakistani government were investigating. But Pakistani army spokesman Maj. Gen. Shaukat Sultan told AP that he doubted that any such attack took place, noting that road clearing engineers were blasting a road near where the helicopters were flying.

“The blast was huge enough to kick up dust which the pilot probably misunderstood as rocket fire,” he said.

Sultan said Pakistani army troops carried out a cordon and search operation and spoke to witnesses on the ground, none of whom reported a rocket attack.

Newell said the attack would not effect America’s determination to help Pakistan recover from the Oct. 8 quake, which is believed to have killed about 80,000 people and left millions more homeless.

“We are going to continue to fly the helicopter missions in support of the relief effort and in support of Pakistan,” he said.

No stealth you cant go too deep into bangalore. Infact most of India. cant see much. let alone aircrafts.

Except for Delhi, that is! Awesome shots of Rashtrapati Bhavan, Rajpath, India Gate and even the Baha’i Temple. Strangely, even Gurgaon Mall Road seems well depicted! No such love for aamchi Mumbai though.

US has offered both F16 and F/A18’s to India. But, do they fall in the same class/category/role? F16 is operated by USAF and F18 by USN. So, it makes one wonder why have they been bracketed in the same group by the US. How do they compare with each other? After all, if they do fall in the same category, why did the USN go for an entirely new aircraft(F18)?

BTW what countries other than the US of course, operate F18’s?

The USN needed a twin-engined fighter for (perceived) needs of long range operation and survivability over the sea. Therefore, they went in for the F18. Australia, Spain, Kuwait,Malaysia, Canada.. all operate Hornets.

Turbanator Prime minister. and if they do, we probably wont see the first scorpene rolling out before 2010. The U209’s are crap and the kilo is a 25 year old design. Even if they do fire Klubs , its no biggie because the kilos are always being repaired and its going to be obsolete soon, plus the indians have had Major problems with it
What Pakistan wants is a Sub in the class of theAussi Collins, Brazils Tupi or the Spainish S-80. The indiaqis can keep deciding which sub to buy for another 5 or 6 years, suits Pakistan just fine : )

Keep talking it up, funnyboy. No need to insult Dr. Singh, and do you have a source for the “crap” comment? India having problems with the Kilos? Source?
