12 dark grey AN-124s lined up at Leh while the looming shape of a Mreya emerges from the fog shrouded sky for final landing…. unseen in the mist one hears the dry thunder of AL31 engines too…

As we all know sikhs make a big part of indian armed forces-all branches-and many of them wear a turban for relegious reason. I have seen pics of sikh soldiers in uniforms with their traditional headgear. Could anyone please tell me whether they still wear them during military excercises/conflicts and how about pilots?

They wear Patkas, smaller turbans, and these fit under the helmets.
