    Love this old thread!!
    As stated before, I have PZ865s original woodwork and on the back of the doghouse is the ‘original’ blue. When the Corgi model was done, I suggested (on my evidence) it was too light (albeit a lovely model). I have B&W photos of the Hart and Glady in what I think was the same shade!!

    The wheel looks steel to me….the Defiant would have had an alloy tailwheel (with an ECTA tyre). This is ground equipment wheel. The tyre is likely aircraft tho

    I love my monopod….not so wieldy and works ok even in low light
    RAFM give a tripod pass….dont think I need one for my mono (pod that is!)

    jolly pleased he did not TIG weld those Hurricane wheels! Not a good outcome given they are Mag alloys

    Here is my one redone:

    It is rather nice (not by me sadly)….must apologise for grammar….in a exec lounge drinking wine on way home!!! I am luckiliy…NOT flying the plane!!!
