I’ll have a go Paul!! But it needs other posts. I can post pix of real grips.

I was amazed when someone mentioned replica javelin grips – they are quite cheap and certainly not rare!

I am due to find it for the chaps at Dux. It is from a Mk1 lost in 1939! Only partial and removed at time.
I need a Mk1 panel for my new project, any help on that front appreciated
Thanx on harnesses and hopefully Stuka pic?!
    cheers

It is off a compass and is called a compass bias block it is an early one and I would love it for my Mk1 project!!!It mounts to the bottom of a P4,8,6 etc compass and is used to correct for anomalies…it has little magnets in it.

Andy, Since faking is wrong doing and deceiving, I don’t see why anyone would disagree with pointing out pitfalls here….? As long we don’t name anyone.

Ian, a couple of dodgy grips ended recently…….

Ssssssh Tony….! You’ll get me into trouble again.

I am already in trouble (with a troll) so I will happily join you in trouble again Andy!!!

….second time I have quoted from Life of Brian this week, but I am minded to remember the character who is stoned for blaspheming!!! Say it once might as well say it a million times ‘Jehovah, Jehovah….!!’

Sea Hurri is Merlin III too. Without a doubt, the MkI set up at ARCO/HFL is the most amazingly professional and well set ‘system’ I have seen. I have said before about the attention to detail and the huge engineering challenges they have tackled head on and solved. I use the word system, because what you see (an amazing MkI) is only half the story….the whole system has been set up to support MkI flying with all that entails for many years. A dedicated thread would show this is more than just a spit.

What a bizarre thread! Whilst it may seem a bit off their policy, it is jolly good news. If I may be so bold to quote the late great Graham Chapman ‘theres no pleasing some people!’…..’thats what he said’ retorts Michael Palin (an ex leper).

It is a bit like the lottery winner whinging that they won the Euromillions when winning the National UK Lottery would have been more apt!!!
