Lots around, I bought 2 sets of NOS for my projects (red, amber, green)
lovely items, apparently/allegedly also used on Ford GT40s at some stage!!

Cost: £4-£10 depending on condition – good for discos!!

Ok, status so far.

It would appear that Landguard Fort and Felixstowe Museum and MAPS at Rochester are not interested.

We are also around £500 shy on the acquistition cost.

So we have 2 problems:-

A Home – any suggestions/offers?
Money – again, any suggestions?

After over 30years in active aviation preservation, I have realised that I cannot do it all and save everything. But this relic is worthy of preservation.

Any suggestions welcome as are offers of practical help.

If it was Spitfire we would not even be having this discussion!!

I think it would be nice if the project was represented at CockpitFest Mike.

I may (if time permits, pop a small display together, if you wish I could add leaflets and a collecting can?).

Hi Tony touble is which one is it as I understand rightly the one we want is somewhere between the one fitted to the Spit and the one in the nose of a Mossie ?.Its the bit on the very end that sets it apart fromt standard if I understand it correctly.Many thanks for the offer.

It is wholly possible that with suitable donations, transport and a home (Landguard Fort? or NSAM) that this float could be saved.
