Round Oil temp gauges common are they ? I dont think so Old chap. There are quite a few Rad temp gauges about but oil temp are RHS. I havent managed to figure out why but there is no question Oil temps out number rad temps 10 to 1.
I would be happy to buy if you point in the direction of all these common oil temp gauges instruments.

I get offered them frequently old chap, but I don’t touch them unless I can pass them on to someone who wants them. Incidentally, never did get that set of magneto switches you said you’d send me! Does not matter now as I bought some.

rather bizarrely/ironically, he is actually telling the truth and getting berated a little on this forum…which is normally a ‘perk’ rightly reserved for history-benders!!!

The only ‘rule’ he will be breaking is one of E’bs

I trust you will remember the several posts from myself and Howard Cook advising that for the princely sum of £1 it would be possible to have the full ARCO/HFL tour, where this ‘secret’ project was on full view… but it is a delicate area and customer confidentiality is an issue.

All 275 Spitfires/Seafires/Projects/Memorials will be listed in the two volumes of the book.

    Mark

Indeed I do old chap…..unfortunately I was too busy on my projects to attend. My cheeky response was aimed at other threads too!

I fully appreciate that some owners wish to be secretive, it is their right….These are all icons and, from my personal view, I wish to share my projects with others (that are interested!) by showing them (warts and all).

Regarding the Spit vols, is there a tentative date yet? Will it include statics, composites, replicas etc or adopt FP’s selective listing? looking forward to it

It appears that the old adage ‘knowledge is power’ rings true here!

It allows the vain and pompous to plump up their stuffy chests, suck in their beer bellies and grin inanely as they hit the return button on another non informative pearl of wisdom followed by the ubiquitous smiley!

e.g. “I am surprised no one already knows as it is common knowledge :)”

    to whom??!!

Or “I have seen it and she is LOVELY! :)”

which can be translated into….I saw it when they let me in but have forgotten the tail number, or …I saw it but have the tail number but you cannot have it”…or “I am so damn vain, I will pretend I have seen it when I have not”

    Only joking fine chaps!! 😀

Now where is that book Gordon???!!!! It has been ‘soon’ too long and my copy of the previous is past its BBD!

Incidentally, any factual book is a snap shot of the time it was actually written and instantly out of date!

I thought the pix look too good…..I must admit that developing decent moulds would cost a mint…..at £20/500g of RTV….would like to see a piccy!
