Tell me Mr PP, from your post I assume you are an avid restorer/volunteer at a museum or owner of a preserved aircraft?

With all due respect, I suggest you take remedial maths as more than 5% of the aircraft are in the hangars/painted/looking good. Your post looks like a deliberate troll to me….

Any Civil Servants out there willing to defend their pension schemes and defend their position in the scheme of things, whatever it is, God help us.

Ok, I’ll bite…..I am an ex Civil Servant….only no longer one because the government saw fit to sell us off.
Please do not tar them all with the same brush…..CS’s cover all jobs from the mundane to the exciting….some do extremely worthwhile jobs….I know, I did…some risk their lives in war zones (ok, not as much as the Servicemen). Sure there are lots of bureaucrats but for everyone of those there are 100 good ones….civil/public servants include nurses, teachers, police, ambulance, fire…etc anyone on the public payroll.

I am as disappointed as others over the CAA sometimes….but do not assume all civil servants are the same!

Cracking show, Horsemen are real gents, hats off to the TFC, Mr G and all the performers…also thanx due to the behind the scenes people (especially the refreshments people in the FoD tent).

Regarding Bernard, people get so annoyed with him, yes he is verbose, but he is amusing and has excellent knowledge of flying aircraft. It is disappointing how short fused some people are….chill out, go with the flow. I only had to ask one chap to not stand on his photo box and he was courteous and apologetic (he was stood on the frontline so had an unobscured view)…all in all good time had by all!

I have used re-profiled screw drivers….the problem is that there are at least 3 sizes of these heads….I have a set of proper socket ones too…..I wish you luck…..I have removed 2 aircraft’s worth of Harrier panels approx 5% of fasteners had to be drilled out which is even less fun!

Regarding the offset philips type (Phantom, Hawk US etc)….some markets actually include bits those in their multisets (in the little rubbery plastic boxes…)

I could be in danger of weeing myself if an Fw190 flies!!!
