    lovely lovel item. Though Graham it is not the rarest Spit grip out there!! The early aluminum round button grip is. I have only seen 5 for sale since 1980.

    I have not managed to contact Ashley.

    Any further information about the Typhoon project (piccies etc). And what kind of Whirlwind, the eggbeater or that wonderful twinengined fighter bomber. Out of curiosity, why 1/4?

    The 1/4 denotes windscreen/stick/panel set up, it will be the twin. The Typhoon project was a big pile of bits that was not getting anywhere. I still have the complete panel and flying controls

    Updated to reflect the changes to my collection in recent weeks and the Typhoon cockpit has been subsumed into the Aeroventure project.
    There is the startings of Whirlwind 1/4 cockpit but it is too much in its infancy so far.

    If Ashley could get a room like last time that would be great!! With perhaps a visit behind the scenes??!!

    Good dates for me would be 3/4 Feb or 17/18 Feb, any preferences from others?

    Once we have some ideas, and Ashley materialises, we could come up with an agenda……perhaps Snapper could give a talk? I could bore you with a Mustang dig or something Hurricaney I s’pose.

    It would also be nice to see some of you at the CockpitFest weekend (Fathers Day weekend) in June at Newark Air Museum.

    I love the idea of a new camera and would be happy to turn it round in 2 days max….if we establish ground rules, maybe we can make it happen?
    Say….

    People who join the ‘project’ only do so if they will take it seriously and quickly, post the camera on using recorded delivery (in a good box) etc…..we could actually make something worthwhile…this time.
