Basic flight safety is to fly the aircraft. I cannot see how distracting the aircrew before the flight with endless planning and niff naff (i.e. Disrupting the bubble) and then imposing tight restrictions is safer than before. A proper risk based analysis would decide what is necessary making things better and what has little or even negative value. There is a safety/risk term, ALARP – as low as reasonably practical. It may have been taken too far.

They need to enforce no windbreaks, tents, towels on sun beds blah blah….some of the families took 12ft of frontage with tents, breaks etc. Then stood up to take photos….also need to make the so called press enclosures smaller….as there are more toggies in there than aviation mags in the world.

It all depends how far you wish to go and how accurate. The problem I find is that I want a proper Hurricane and nothing else will do. This means the project has been on a rolling 10 years for the last 25! Once you start making concessions it would be difficult to stop. Making something that outwardly resembles a hurricane is easy. A nice halfway house was when Mike and the KBoBM started working the BoB replicas by making cockpits, wheels and legs real.
