Hi Tony. I had a lot of fun with Your dad and Rod in the 80s. I was at Uni in London and would go and see them and that wonderful museum. Some of the adventures resulted in a canopy for my hurricane, and gunsights for my projects. Please say hi to them for me!

Yes aluminium alloy CD. TonyTs lovely picture shows the small plate that states the size of the bolts that are fitted. These plates often have the aircraft serial number on and have been used as evidence of ID for a rebuild.

The graticle is very much different on your one. It does not allow the wing span or range to be set. A projector can project directly onto a windscreen without the need for the reflector top. That said, I have several fitted to the cockpits some say projector some say reflector!

The bolts do have an undercut. There are then washers of varying thickeness. Early spits had stainless bolts, later steel. The washers were stainless. I have several very corroded bolts from top and bottom kicking around. The washers are beautifully marked.

Yawn. Peter is missed and may or may not return. This forum should be about historic aviation, one persons bullying is another persons banter. One persons ego is another persons arrogance. For this forum, peters absence is this forums loss. Several people have taken a break from this forum, some return, some cannot be bothered. Some time ago I started a thread asking what is wrong with this forum…..whatever it is, it still is.
Now I am awaiting the pedant and grammar police, not to mention the forumites who obviously know better than us mere mortals to tell me how wrong I am.
