When we did the ‘booking’ for the Hurricane over the Nicolson VC memorial in 1990, it was a solo. When we asked in 2010, they said (as it was a flypast) that the Hurri was with the Lanc and would we rather she loiter elsewhere!!!
We said no!
It was a good display, commentators were fine. The Manhattan Dolls lovely, the Laurel & Hardy amazing! The only thing I could criticise was the massive amount of windbreakers taking up so much space up and down the fence line. Bizarrely some were full of people not really interested in the aircraft, one was even making jewellery. These grew early in the morning and stayed like ‘towels on sunbeds’ until the show started.
We had a chat to a nice lady about these. She said we could always pop in a suggestion/comment. She said that as long as they dont block views they dont mind!
In the USA, I have been to shows that have on the tickets that if you are not sat in a seat it will be removed. We watched a pick up doing exactly that!!
