Looks like they did some cleaning & painting on the Liberator since I saw it in 2002!
There was a lengthy cleaning and polishing session about 6 months or so ago IIRC.
I believe that was Miss Helen out of NW, not JJ. did not see it so stand to be corrected but definately not JJ.
Sorry – the expletive was just my reaction to seeing the photos with all those guns in the aircraft!

Yes he flew her in to NW for maintainenance and according to WUK she will depart Wdnesday back to Filton.
The truth today is that virtually no amount of damage could render a Spitfire unrebuildable such is the value of the aircraft and the technology and resources that have evolved to support it.
