Very interesting photo – with skull painting obviously in progress too…
I have my copy – another excellent work from Mr Blackah (and co-author Mrs B), well worth ordering!
Come on Dave – this isnt a news agency, its just an enthusiasts chat forum!
Very misleading!
Dave – yes the FW-190 has ben operated in France and Germany. Here they are considered a new type and not eligable for operation with a Permit to Fly.
a fairly large wheel and tyre washed
I think I would call it ‘huge’ !!
Have a look at what went on at Trent Park in Enfield (N London) :
The file name of the photo is ‘T.16 Concept’…….
Joe – 500, then its on condition. 200 quid per hour to the engine fund is about right.
The costs vary enormously depending on the utilization of the aircraft and the scenario its operated in.
So you don’t fly in the ‘Airwolf’ but in a Jetranger and get ‘hunted’ by it?
Brilliant BwB ! 🙂
A welbeing that has so far been successful by its staying on these shores.
Rob – as I said earlier the continuing existance is entirely due to the fact that it left these shores and crossed the Atlantic to be retained by the Americans and then later returned to the UK as the sole (largely intact) survivor of the type! If it had not done so there would not be any Typhoons in (largely) one piece anywhere!
Its only the fact that it was handed over to the USA for evaluation in the first place that ensured its status a sole surviving airframe
Also, if you do post things on the internet with your real name, are you happy for your employer, or potential employer, to read your views on politics and religion, or to know of your ‘obsession’ with old aeroplanes?
I am – thats why I sign my name to it (and also pay attention to what I write because of that).
