We have a pair of Sturgeon wheels at the museum, if anyone’s interested in a swop for something more relevant to our museum.

Good grief, I think James has go so thin, he’s actually disappeared.
Well, now he’s gone, we can actually talk about him behind his back. 😀
That white bit in his hair – doesn’t that mean he is a vampire (the bloodsucking variety not the jet)?
Perhaps he’s a distant relation to the Mallens?
I heard James was on the American version of ‘Stars in their eyes’. It seems that he said to the host ‘Tonight I’m going to be Glenn Miller’, walked through the dry ice & disappeared!
I can recall going to one of the Fighter Meets at NW, where there were a number of P-2s in very basic ‘Luftwaffe’ markings, ie the crosses being applied over the previous markings, as in the 1st P-2 photo.
No such problems here
or C: The name of James’ new Mustang!!!
Two sets of exhausts? Does that mean it’s powered by two very small engines driving a common propshaft? Handy for incresing the endurance though, just shut down one engine ala Gannet.
No one else from the forum coming, apart from Steve & Haydn? 🙁
Yet another veteran to attend our signing event
An interesting addition to the veterans attending the museum on the 15th August is Tony Iveson. Tony flew with Nos 616 & 92 Sqns during the BoB, but did his second tour on Bombers, serving with No 617 Sqn in 1944, during which he took part in three sorties against the ‘TIRPITZ’, including the the one which resulted in her sinking.

Another veteran confirmed for the 15th
We can confirm that Mike Croskell has confirmed he will be attending on the 15th. See the first post in this thread for the full list (so far!!) of those veterans attending.

I’ll look forward to seeing you. Are you hoping for the am or pm session?
Anyone from the forum thinking of attending??
Geoff
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your good wishes.
I can’t wait to meet Bob, and hopefully the same will go for a lot of other people.
Geoff.
