They are looking at outsourcing my area, the plan being we get moved wholesale to whoever we are sold to, will know in a few months. Same salary etc, but location may not be the same, can’t really sell up and sign up for a new place in case I end up with a commute or even relocation.

Still, I’m far better off than many, and it may even be a foot in the door with a new company, which is no bad thing – did I mention that the current Mrs BSG-75 works at the same place as me :rolleyes:

It’s been a while for me, but some aircraft weapons, a Lancaster mid upper turret cover IIRC, some Dan Air kit as well. A few engine parts, some german (again IIRC ?)

“Operativio Oscar” – 1953, 6 Lincolns converted to carry locally designed bouncing bombs. They tested the bomb dropping flight plan but never used in anger as the pylon and weapon were not built. Two Lincolns converted locally into a “Lincolnian” and used before write off in 1961 and 1967.

“Operacion Soberania” to use Lancasters to drop missiles designed by German engineers living in Argentina, developed from the Henschel HS 293 air to surface missle.

Last Lancaster withdrawn in December 1965.
