Given that the “timeline” was broken (whats her face, the red head wearing the greyhound skirt wasn’t aware of the Daleks) I guess you could use that as a blanket excuse for all such errors/discrepancies. At the end of the day, its a bit of fantasy. The BBC are pushed for budget, Dr Who is a balance on that (loads of merchandise and I am I the only one who thinks, new Daleks, equals new toys, equals more revenue ?). Think about how many times David Tennant was running around Cardiff (London) solving mysteries saving money on effects and locations.

As a “watcher” and not really a fan, it wasn’t one of the better episodes, then again it had millions of viewers, the BBC will take a slice from toy sales, job done (as far as they are concerned)

with the screening of channel 4 BLITZ STREET tonight it may be worthwhile checking on the minor details !!!!

Its a slow read (IMO) as its a lot of background on RN carrier ops in the late 60’s and into the 70’s but worth a look. Interesting statement that the FAA scored the first and last air to air kills of WW2 (Skuas Sept 1939, Seafires over Japan August 1945).
