My boss of 14 months, blessed with nicknames such as Princess Fiona, SWMBO, Roz, etc etc, having told me to touch my inner self etc, is off on her way to another assignment….. all we have to do now is clear up after her….

The largest/heaviest to operate on a regular basis was, I think the A-5/RA-5 (it is HUGE) but IIRC, some A-3’s weighed in heavier than the RA-5.
large I guess is all relative, U-2 is large width ways….. not many other ways…;)

I avoided the forum and this thread until I saw the programme, I watched it this afternoon and really cannot contain my indifference! Nothing new until the story, almost tacked on to the end about the “story” planted with the French soldier during Suez.

I’ve put on the Sky box to record, lets just see what they churn out. The new book is discounted to £25 plus P&P from some sellers via Amazon (just an FYI).
and yet you survived ! It takes more than salmonella to keep a good man down eh !?:cool:;)

The worst part was the reported panic buying of Fried Chicken all across the USA once ABC announced that the Colonel was dead.
I’ll get my coat.:o

I’d second that. A 10 min phone call to an agency to arrange it should not be beyond anybody.
Oh good, that will be along soon then…….:cool::D:rolleyes::p:(
I’ll just sit right here on the edge of my seat until it arrives……
I posted after Legends last year, but any excuse to tell the tale again, my son and I met Captain Eric Brown last year during one of his book signings at the show.
It was hot, and Captain Brown moved from tent to tent, with a smile, and hand shake and a kind word for everybody who queued to meet him and some words of encouragement for my son who mentioned wanting to be a pilot. I just think he is an incredible man, who has done so much in his life, and I was honoured to meet him however briefly.
I would guess that some of the other aircraft will be the same, the S6B and ‘Jason’ certainly appear so.
I may be wrong (my ex wife often says that I am… ) but I remember an article/letter in Flypast some years ago mentioning that the S6 had been painted in ex RAF colours or at least with ex RAF paint, it’s just a distant memory but I am sure that was the claim.
