With Mig getting displaced by sukhoi as premier russian aviation Co, India should take this opporunity & get their desired their choice & needs 5 gen AC with Mig Corp. As heavier AC will be costly to build & maintain in the long term, single engine AC will be right way to go. Thus we could procure it in larger no.s too. Also if we codevelop 5 gen AC with russian, then atleast this AC could not be sold to chinese.

What if they sell Yaklov design to the Chinese?

Epochtimes is a publication of the crackpot Falungong cult. Thjey are not only anti CCP government, but also has an apocalyptic view on things.

Of the five accidents, two are aircraft lost beyond repair by a typhoon. They were also appeared to have been replaced.

    Crobato,

I will tell you one thing. You don’t have to tutor people here on whats right and whats wrong. You have already played this trick upteenth time. We all know what is Epoch Times and what is China Daily. I have seen “you” rubishing Kanwa reports when they write against Chinese and then doing a U turn by posting Kanwa source when its positive. Its speaks more of your lack credibility than the news sources. Especially you and me have been loggerheads on the Chinese equipment issues.

While your Chinese official sources are fabricated lies to suit CCCP heads, Epoch Times is much more balanced if not very credible. It even had articles on Indian police brutality , which were right. The difference is you have so much ego that you can’t accept it. Your standard tricks are rubbishing the news sources and rubbishing the member poster who is trying to put across a point. You always claimed that i got axe to grind with Chinese forces, now i tell you, you are a habitual liar.

Now don’t consider it as an personal attack, I had to tell you this.

Under the watchful eye of Deng Xiaoping and Yang Shangkun, Jiang Zemin, despite being a layman in military affairs, had to demonstrate competency as the Chairman of the Central Military Commission. He announced plans to purchase high performance, state-of-the-art weaponry systems from Russia.
Although China spent huge sums of money to acquire them, all of her acquisitions proved to be obsolete weapons discharged by the former Soviet Union, or weapons that performed poorly and that Russia was clearing out. The warplanes received from Russia failed frequently. After the CCP started its purchase of Soviet-built warplanes (including Su-27s and Su-30s), in the years between 1997 and 2001 no less than five accidents were reported.

So who has most flying hour? I realy did not get it.

So, Su-30 MKK over Bay of Bengal…. Um… we were there…..

I just changed my mind, MiG-29K has better radar and ofcourse avionics. Missiles wise both will be pretty equal. RCS wise MiG-29 has an advantage. manouverability is any ones guess (cause I can’t guess). IN pilots have advantage over excercising with oter countries.

    Hum.. lets see… MiG-29K rules…..

IMO we need High altitude recon’s. Sats are good but could be jammed. UAV’s have their own limitations. MiG-31 will fill the role where a high speed, high altitude platform. It can fight for itself.

Keep the trolling to yourself, or you’ll have a few weeks off to consider your actions.

Are you suggesting that Coco island will be used to conduct air operations against India or IN fleet 🙂

Its not an easy task to attack CBG on the move , CBG has its fleet of its own compromising of Subs, Frigate & Destroyers, and the numbers are variable in nature .

Being a constantly moving platform it could travel 500 + km in a day and could be any where in the Ocean , A CBG survellence could spread over a Radius of 600 ~ 700 + Km and with AWACS it gets better .

A carrier itself can take multiple hits and survive from Ashm missile , one needs to be atleast as close as 150 ~ 200 Km to fire a Sunburn or Brahmos like missile in a Hi – lo traj to get a positive lock on Carrier , Not to mention a CBG can carry powerful Jamming equipment( because of no weight restrictions ) , long range SAM ,CIWS/Missile and Decoy a AShM will have to pass through all this before it hits a Carrier , Ofcourse you need to take out the AD Aircraft of the carrier thats the first hurdle one needs to cross.

Even for a fleet of 6 ~ 8 MKK with Sunburn getting that close will be a difficult task , But the main riddle here is to know where the Carrier really is in the vast Ocean.

The whole American CBG used to just dissapear inspite of the Huge Sur asset that the soviet possesed and then when it was detected it was found to be too close for comfort creating a Paniky among the Soviet defence.

You really think sinking a carrier is an endgame? what about partially destroying the battle group? what about attacking the bases and render CBG without logistics? What about basing SU-30 MKK-2’s there in Coco island and keep precious resources of IN alert for their attack robbing IN of the luxury of deploying them somewhere else. How about shadow boxing which will keep CBG operate in a restricted manner or even away from the most optimum deployment route?

The game should keeping them away from reaching us, instead, they will be right under our ass. What assets we have to be near the Chinese mainland and keep them in fear. they are all over us, in north Tibet, in East possibly Coco Island, in south east probably Indonesia, in west the dog house with a frothing dog on leash..

If you see Chinees have fought wars, achieved their limited objetives and then accepted/declared ceasefire.
