Thanks for posting those pictures Geoff.
    Very nice.
I can think of five other shells from these moulds.
    – Windsor Ontario got the prototype.
    – Gerry Yagen
    – Paul Allen
    – Rod Lewis
    – Glynns own Mosquito (that had been offered for sale).

What is the fate of this most recent set?

    Yikes!!
That could have had a much worse outcome.
Very thankful both will live to fly another day.

My Tiger used to tow banners in the Netherlands in her previous guise as PH-ALG.
Probably towed gliders as well. We took the climb prop off of it as it flew like it was stuck in second gear.
    Currently registered CF-MAD.

    Oh that’s great!
I couldn’t think of a better outcome for parts like that.
Best of luck gathering all the bits.

    Nice!
I saw that advert as well Mark.
What are you planning to do with them if I may ask?

I’ve been working with my friend repairing / rebuilding two bottom planes for an 82A. They are a lot of work, but a marvelous bit of engineering in wood.
Next stop, fabric. Almost a shame to see that art work disappear under fabric.

The Moth club published a photograph of all the airworthy Hornet moths in the U.K., save one, together in the same spot a few years ago.
The only one not able to attend was G-AESE, for paperwork reasons.

Both of those two seaters with empty back seats! That’s just a tease!

    Thanks for the photos.

A swaging tool could be made from aluminum rod with a hole drilled in it.
The commercial ones are steel, but aluminum would work for a few of them.
Be sure to click on the picture beside the C-clamp.
It shows what some of the dies look like. The table matches the die with the grommet and fastener.

Get a few grommets and try a few practice ones.

It’ll be interesting to hear how you make out.

    Cheers
