“Abysmal moronic brain-dead” reporting 🙂
I must have missed, that this was the reporters name. Well spotted Dave.
The article said “The breaks were smoking” I hope they didn’t brake them.
Kidding aside. I’m always relieved to see that no one was seriously hurt.
That Corsair will fly again for sure.

I don’t imagine that DH9 will stray too far from home but I’m definitely OK with that.
Well done to the whole team.
Andy
Hey!
Great to hear from you again Ian.
I’ve been wondering how things have been going.
Thanks for sharing the pics of the progress :eagerness:
Andy
Sorry I don’t have an answer to your query. I just wanted to point out that you need another”c” in “Canuck”
I should know ’cause I am one eh!? 🙂
Rocketeer, you have summed it up perfectly!
Wow indeed!
That is a truly amazing accomplishment.

There was a B-17 named ” Ice cold Katy”
They use the P.T. Barnum technique of believing that there is a sucker born every minute.
It has proved to be very fruitful for them.
Gerry Yagens MJ730 sports a red nose.
That DH9 looks so amazing!
This is a very exciting and welcomed addition to the living vintage aircraft scene.
Thanks to Mr. Black and his team.
Andy
Great to see that it being so well looked after though…………
Thanks for sharing Matthias
All correct ericmunk.
I have heard from pilots who have flown both. the Yale has a lot less power as well as more drag due to the fixed gear.
After spending time in the Harvard one has to be very mindful of the differences. The Yale does not have the power to recover energy as well as the Harvard.
That final photo in the post by Rivet joint shows what looks like a rather “sporty” landing in the Yale.
I always appreciate the great photos in this thread.
Thanks all.
I always tell people that the only stupid question, is the one you didn’t ask, when you had the opportunity.

I agree with Andy.
A genuine NOS part merely becomes part of 788’s history.
If you want, you could label the part as a replacement like you did with the bits from the pasta strainer.

Safe landing with no one hurt is an excellent outcome.
Red Bull will, no doubt, have the resources to enable a speedy recovery for the Mitchell.
