Thanks Berkut. I guess those workers do what they’re supposed to do “eastern Europe style” (and i know quite a lot about that “style” lol), so no surprise there. 😛
Good stuff Berkut. Crikey there’s too much dust on that runway! The engines are not going to like it (unless that dust is part of the testing ? :p)
Btw what is Shoigu saying to that rather bewildered worker ? It can’t be something terribly nice …;)
Thanks TR1.:)
Apparently there was some buzz on venezuelan forums about them getting Pantsir too, but remains to be seen when (and if it will be confirmed – will make perfect sense though).
Some indian CGI fan-art, which, all things considered, is pretty good ( even if totally speculative at least concerning the last 2 “variants”) 🙂

Regarding the legacy MiG-29s upgrade, perhaps this bit of speculation 3 years ago might prove accurate:
Speaking of revamped aircraft, by 2020 the Air Force will have about 100 Su-27SM/SM2 fighters (now about 50 in service), approximately 80 MiG-31BM Foxhound fighters (now about 10 in service) and approximately 100 MiG-29SM2/SMT fighters (now about 30 in service). Moreover, the Air Force will operate almost 150 upgraded Su-25SM ground-attack aircraft and probably 50-60 Su-24M2 Fencer-D tactical attack aircraft.
About time, if you ask me! I don’t think they will upgrade all 220 of them though , probably only say 60 of the best shape and lowest hours 9.13/9.13S and UB to serve alongside the SMTs and MiG-35s. Can’t wait for more (hopefully positive) news and details on this.:)
Thanks TR1.
Just some random news about S-500 to fill up the post. 🙂

Imo, i would add Peru and Brazil somewhere on that list, maybe 50%.
Are you serious or just taking the micky?:) That picture is a well known ( and horrible ) PS.
At first i was tempted to say R-77 training round, but i don’t think so now… looked on net for half an hour , still can’t find anything to match it…do you have a pic from another angle? ( doesn’t seem to be ARK9E -too big- i was thinking maybe it’s some S-25 variant, or even a Klub, but haven’t found anything definitive)
Not really a missile of any sort, but still having to do with air defence… so, what is exactly Krasuha-2 and what does it do, any more info than in the article below? If it does what it says on the “box”, this almost innocuous truck with a dish on it might gain a rather long list of customers lining for it…i’m sure there are lot of folks who would use being able to defend against and jam AWACS, recce satellites, drones or US stealth aircraft!;)

Is there a list of resources anywhere detailing the different types of ground based jamming systems in service with, built and/or exported by Russia? How about from other countries? (China , US, Western Europe etc.)
Unfortunately i cannot find yet the original source of these pics (can anyone help?), nor i know the date of these pics, but looks like they are/were working hard on the UAE Pantsir order!
