The UK would just increase its defensive stance if Argentina purchased that little lot mack8.
Also what you suggest lacks many of the enabling technology and equipment like amphibious assault ships to even have a hope.
I agree that an agreement is long overdue…one where Argentina accepts the self determination rights of the Islanders 😉
I love the british peoples and i deeply respect them , but there’s only one fair answer to this issue (not your above btw). And i’m sure many britishers agree too.
Anyway , my “dream” argentine military is not for war, but for defense, detterence and political weight. There NEEDS to be a setlement on this (something akin to Hong Kong f.e.)
Well they are probably the last few MLU F-16 available on the open market with plenty of life on them. Question is has Romania gone off the idea or is Bulgaria trying to gazump them by offering Portugal more then the Romanians. Presumably Portugal will want to get the maximum financial return from any deal. Or do Portugal have enough spare F-16 to satisfy both countries?
Aparently there are 25 of these F-16s, so there will be enough for both. Don’t know what the romanian government will do, i find it deeply humiliating that those idiots even consider these 3rd hand junks, but probably they will just keep the MiGs flying until the last one crashes… then probably they will beg for someone else ( like their american “allies”) to do their air policing. Traitors…
24 Su-30MK2 (attack/multirole), 24 Su-35 (air superiority), couple AEWs, some Iglas, Pantsirs and S-300s, coastal defence Bastions , and a few diesel electric subs armed with Klubs. If they will have those, they won’t even need to fire a shot to reach some sort of amiable agreement (long overdue).
Nice. There can never be enough Flanker Pics in this thread 🙂
One of the four Su-30M2 i presume?
Nah, it’s a standard Su-27UB.:)
😮

I am almost sure those are PS of older pics.
That Tazarve thing is ugly.

Tell you what the thing (at least the production one with tailplanes and new wings) looked pretty intimidating from f.e. below but other than that by god that thing was ugly as *** !
Well either i need an eye check , or the pic of S-2 i posted above is not in the high-rez KnAAPO gallery. Anyway, just a small item, perhaps it’s been posted somewhere else (or i accidentaly entered the KnAAPO computers :p)
Isn’t the detection range for a fighter size target about 120km for the “legacy” Zaslon? Guess we don’t know yet for what target size that 240km figure refers to.
I think the cone length is the same on the Su-35Ss, only that on S-1 there are no antennas or CHFL dispensers or the chute.
Regretably, when Knaapo put their high-rez images up , i got lazy downloading the Su-35S-2 pics bar one image (which i will post), which unfortunately does not seems to be part of the gallery anymore (i don’t think anyone saved the Su-35S galleries in their original form by any chance -before the bandwidth issue? :()
You can compare this pic of S-2 to S-1 pretty well i think.

Why the heck do they do that ?
Guys , guys …this is the NEWS thread. Talk about the “Tu-22MB” (?) for China ( ?!) in the Chinese aviation thread !
There are 4 clipped fins PL-12 missiles in the bay, same number as F-35 f.e. It is an adequate load in LO mode for an aircraft this size. Only way it can carry more is if there will be some sort of mini-missile developed in the future (like that CUDA thing). Actually, i wonder if China will follow suit on that concept, if they can make one of these mini-me missiles just long legged enough to be competitive to the bigger PL-12&co, imagine a J-31 with say EIGHT BVR missiles in the bay , or the J-20 with 12 or more. 😮
According to Sukhoi.org, the second lot of 5 Su-34 have been formally handed over to VVS, and will be flown to their bases in the near future.
